Current Vacancy: Montessori Guide

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced AMS or AMI Qualified Montessori Guide with Queensland College of Teachers registration to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to Montessori philosophy, possess a strong understanding of child development, and be enthusiastic about creating a nurturing and stimulating educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement a Montessori curriculum that caters to the individual needs of children. Maintain a prepared environment that encourages children to independently explore and learn. Accurately assess student progress and maintain detailed records. Engage with parents and the school community to support the holistic development of each child. Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community. Ensure compliance with the educational standards and regulations as outlined by the Queensland College of Teachers. Qualifications: AMS or AMI Montessori 6-12 Diploma. Current teaching registration in Queensland. Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred). Proven experience in a Montessori classroom environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for Montessori education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Current Vacancy: Montessori Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate trained Montessori Assistant to join our team at St Catherines’ Montessori. As a Montessori Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Montessori teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students. You will be responsible for supporting the classroom guide in implementing the Montessori method of education, fostering independence, and promoting the holistic development of each child. Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain classroom materials; ensure accessibility. Supervise students for safety during class and outdoor activities. Support Montessori guide in lesson delivery using Montessori methods. Reinforce lessons through individual or small group assistance. Promote self-directed learning and independence in students. Record student progress for individualised learning plans. Safely transport students, adhering to schedules and safety checks. Comply with traffic laws and school transportation regulations. Supervise and assist students during transit. Communicate with students, parents, and staff; maintain transport records. Report vehicle issues and incidents to the Director. Requirements: Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care; Montessori training/experience or willingness to train. Preferred experience in Montessori early childhood education. Passion for children's education and Montessori philosophy. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork skills. Positive, supportive attitude; ability to create a nurturing classroom environment. Commitment to safety and driving regulations. Punctuality, reliability, and independence. Experience in child supervision and transportation. Valid Queensland Driver's Licence. Blue Card or ability to obtain before employment. Preferable: Residency near Coorparoo.
